Use your STEM skills while discovering more about our planet and how to protect it through a program from the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center.  

Join us monthly for STEAM programs for ages 12-18. This month we'll construct projects with Brackitz erector sets. Registration is required.

Explore the gateway to gardening anywhere by using containers! We'll discuss strategies for growing herbs, veggies, and flowers in tight spaces whether that's a patio, windowsill, driveway or small yard. 

Join us as Bob LePere, NC State Master Gardener volunteer, explains best practices for managing a successful garden from start to finish.  Bob will discuss everything from planning your garden for each season and planting from seed to maintaining

Join us at Family STEAM Time to make learning fun! From robotics and coding to arts and crafts, we have exciting hands-on activities for curious minds every week.

Join us in the Central Library Makerspace every Tuesday evening for a crafty extravaganza! Every other week will have a featured craft, with freeform crafting during the weeks between.

Join us for a science-scented adventure at the library!

Get creative and build with LEGOs, KEVA planks, Strawbees, marble runs, and more! Drop in for free play or try our fun monthly building challenge. No registration required—just bring your imagination!

Recommended for children ages 5-11.

Children will grow, learn, and connect as a community while learning essential skills including as planting, maintaining, and harvesting a garden.

The Library's Makerspace at Forsyth County Central Library has 3D printers, sewing machines, and other technology as well as space and worktables for large creative projects. Access to Makerspace equipment is first come, first served.

The arts meet the sciences in hands-on fun at the Tween STEAM Lab! Join us each week for exciting experiments, technology exploration, building challenges, and beautiful art projects.

Do you need help getting access to e-books, using online library resources, creating an email account, creating online documents, setting up your tablet, or safely browsing the internet?

Make new friends and do fun (and messy!) experiments while learning science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts. 

April's experiment is oil and water science (rescheduled from January).

Children are invited to our monthly LEGO club to build, create, and explore with LEGOs. We will build based on a pre-determined theme and then show off our awesome creations to all our friends.
