Join us for a hands-on program where children can paint their own canvas tote bags to use at the library! It is a great way for them to get creative, personalize something special, and build excitement about borrowing books!  

Create a spring themed masterpiece. With instruction by Kevin Casteel, you will paint your own piece of art. Supplies are limited. Registration is required.

Stop by the library for a crafty afternoon! Different supplies will be out each month so you can always be creative, have fun, and make something new.

Children, tweens, and teens of all ages are welcome.

Would you like to learn how to paint flowers, birds, and other denizens of nature? Local artist Donna Calloway teaches acrylic painting classes on the third Saturday and fourth Thursday of each month from 2-4:30 p.m.

Join us every Monday from 1-3 PM at the Walkertown Branch Library for our weekly Crochet and Knitting Class! Whether you've always wanted to learn these timeless crafts or are looking to refresh your skills, this class is perfect for you.

Join fellow teen writers and published teen author Bianca Jones to share feedback, learn about the publishing process and more. Ages 12 to 18. 

Unleash your inner artist at the library! Join us for a relaxing painting class where creativity flows and no experience is required. All materials provided — just bring your imagination!

Registration is required.

Children are invited to Kids’ Art Hour to create different art project each month.  

In January we’ll make winter forest art with pastels. 

Program recommended for children ages 6-12. All materials provided. 

Join us in the Central Library Makerspace every Tuesday evening for a crafty extravaganza! Every other week will have a featured craft, with freeform crafting during the weeks between.

Looking for a creative, welcoming space to connect and craft? Our inclusive fiber arts club, Hooks & Books is open to all ages and skill levels — whether you're just picking up a needle or you're a seasoned stitcher!

Kids are invited to join our monthly craft group. They'll meet other crafters, use their creativity, and learn to make all sorts of fun projects! Supplies will be provided. Recommended for children ages 6-12. 

The Library's Makerspace at Forsyth County Central Library has 3D printers, sewing machines, and other technology as well as space and worktables for large creative projects. Access to Makerspace equipment is first come, first served.

Unwind with a relaxing morning of coloring, coffee, and community. Coloring sheets, colored pencils, and coffee will be provided.  

Whether you’re brand new to crochet or already have some experience, Crochet for Everyone is a welcoming space to learn, share, and enjoy fellowship with others who love to create.

Tap into your creative side with this carefree collage program. Create your own collage piece from materials provided or  items of your own that you want to incorporate.
