Join us for this Black History Month program that will show photographs of various Winston-Salem African American historical markers, share a historical narrative to the landmark, and help attendees learn more about Winston-Salem black history.&nb

Stop by the Children’s Room of the Central Library on February 25 from 4pm-5pm! Learn about the Civil Rights Movement in Winston Salem and make your own creation showing what Civil Rights means to you! For tweens age 8-12.

Attention chess players of all ages: You are invited to play chess at Clemmons Branch Library every 4th Tuesday of the month from 4-5:30 p.m. Learn new strategies and meet new friends!

Want to learn to how to prepare and cook healthy foods?

Then come to the Southside Branch on Feb. 25 at 5:00 p.m. to learn how to make chicken salad with professional chef, Chef Floyd! 

Come join us as we celebrate and play the age old game of chess. Open to experienced and beginner players alike.

Children aged 4 through tweens are invited to do fun (and MESSY!) STEAM activities at Clemmons Branch Library on the fourth Wednesdays of the month from 4-5:30 p.m.

Join us monthly as we build, create, and explore with LEGOs at the Reynolda Manor Branch Library. We will create with LEGOs based on a pre-determined theme and then show off our awesome creations to all our friends. 

Embark on a creative journey with our LEGO Club, which brings children together to explore the wonderful world of LEGO building. Recommended for children ages 6-11.

Attention tweens: are you interested in cooking but don’t know where to start? Head to the Central Library to learn cooking basics with Chef Floyd! You will learn how to read recipes and have a chance to create your own vegetarian roll-ups.

Learn about nutrition and basic cooking skills from community nutritionist, Kerry Leonard. Participants will get to help prepare and eat a snack based on the lesson of the day.

Join us for an information filled evening with Rhett Kyle with the North Carolina Cooperative Extension as we learn about financial literacy. This program is designed for those ages 13-18. 

Bring a friend, family member, or just yourself to play board games. Light snacks will be provided. Signed food waiver required. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling. All ages are welcome.

Unwind from the school week with a screening of a G or PG movie. 

Calling all young scientists ages 6-11! Join us for Science Saturday at the library, where we'll explore exciting experiments, hands-on activities, and fascinating discoveries. It's the perfect way to spark curiosity and have fun with science!

Kids are invited to join our monthly craft group. Meet other crafters and learn to make all sorts of fun projects! Supplies will be provided.

In March, we will make colorful paper spinners.

Have you ever wanted to learn to play Dungeons & Dragons? Are you an experienced player who would like a place to meet up and have adventures? Join the Lewisville Branch Dungeons & Dragons Meetup Group!

Join us monthly for STEAM programs for ages 8-11. This month we'll program our tiny Ozobot robots.

Come spend a Crafternoon at the library! Tweens 8-12 can stop by and celebrate Mardi Gras by making their own mask. All supplies provided. We hope to see you there!
