We're reading some amazing books in the Central Children's Library that we want to share! Join us to hear snippets of some of our favorite reads that we think you will love too and enjoy fun activities and crafts based on the books. 

Kids will have fun learning about healthy eating, smart food choices, and nutrition through hands-on activities, games, and delicious food demos. This program is a great way to build healthy habits.

Recommended for children ages 6-11

Chess is a game that brings different generations together. Come play the age-old game of chess, take a look at the library’s collection of chess boards, and maybe check out a book to improve your skills. 

Make new friends and do fun (and messy!) experiments while learning science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts. 

March's Creek Week experiment is creek and ocean slime.

Children are invited to our monthly LEGO club to build, create, and explore with LEGOs. We will build based on a pre-determined theme and then show off our awesome creations to all our friends. 

Use your STEM skills while discovering more about our planet and how to protect it through a program from the N.C. Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center.  

Celebrate Women's History Month by stopping by the Central Library to speak with some truly amazing women representing a variety of careers in our community!

Join us monthly for STEAM programs for ages 8-11. This month we'll construct projects with Brackitz erector sets. Registration is required.

Tweens and teens: challenge your brain with food facts and tasty trivia while you delight your taste buds with snacks from other countries. We'll learn about a different country each month.

Kids are invited to join our monthly craft group. They'll meet other crafters, use their creativity, and learn to make all sorts of fun projects! Supplies will be provided. Recommended for children ages 6-12.
