Preschoolers will develop language and pre-reading skills through stories and songs to help facilitate their growth into successful readers.

Recommended for children ages 3-6.

Through stories and interactive play, toddlers will build language skills and discover new words while exploring letters and sounds. They'll learn with music, picture books, rhymes, and even explore other languages.

Book Walk is an outdoor walking book club. Discuss this month's horror/thriller while enjoying an informal one-hour walk around Washington Park and West Salem.

Join Ms. Stefanie for stories and songs at Fourth of July Park in Kernersville. Ages 6 and under. Presented in partnership with the Town of Kernersville's Parks and Recreation Department.

Calling all young scientists ages 6-11! Join us for Science Saturday at the library, where we'll explore exciting experiments, hands-on activities, and fascinating discoveries. It's the perfect way to spark curiosity and have fun with science!

A partnership program with local non-profit Hope to Thrive. At each meeting, kids will participate in a hands-on gardening activity then reflect on what they learned through reading and writing. 

This program will provide kids a place to study, work on their own projects, and learn about library resources for education and tutoring. DIY stress-relieving activities such as coloring and word puzzles will be available.

Learn about kitchen safety and healthy recipes from Chef Floyd Davis. 

In September, we will be making acai smoothie bowls.

Unwind from the school week with a screening of a G or PG movie. On Friday, Sept. 6, we will be watching Wonka. 

There will be no movie on Sept. 20.

Join us monthly for STEAM programs for ages 8-11. Try your hand at robotics with our Squishy Circuits. Registration is required. Email kellumsm@forsyth.cc to register. 

This event is for children ages 6-11 to enjoy a hands-on art activity together.

Level Up: Adult Gamer Society is an 18+ program where you can bring your games, your friends, or just yourself, and play an array of games including a Nintendo Switch, tabletop games, card games, board games, and more.

Schedule some time just for you and join us for our Moms' Craft Night Out program. We will meet every first Tuesday of the month at 6 p.m. for conversation, crafts, and snacks.

Registration is required.
