Are you interested in reducing landfill waste, improving soil health, helping with stormwater management, and promoting healthy plant growth? These are just a few of the many benefits of compost. Join Rebecca Craps, natural resources and environmental systems agent at North Carolina Cooperative Extension, Forsyth County Center. You'll learn about the benefits of composting, the two main types, the tools you need to get started, what can and cannot be composted, how to layer food scraps and yard trimmings, and how to apply your compost to your garden, flower beds, and lawn.

Registration is required. For more information, please contact Rebecca Craps at rlcraps@ncsu.edu or 336-703-2858.
