Have you heard about Yadkin County's historic gem, Richmond Hill, and why it was considered "the last place in the universe?" Join us at the upcoming meeting of the Lewisville Historical Society (LHS) as local historian Greg Cheek tells the story of Chief Justice Richmond Mumford Pearson (1805-1878) and the law school that operated for more than 30 years.
Held in partnership with the Lewisville Branch Library, LHS presents bimonthly to the community on topics ranging from local history to information about historical sites to antiquities. Participants do not need to be members of the society to attend. A short business meeting of the society is held before the featured program begins at 6:30 p.m. Light refreshments are served. Programs are free and open to the public. For more information, please contact the library at 336-703-2940 or the Lewisville Historical Society at 336-766-5842.
