Forsyth County Department of Social Services Drop-ins

Forsyth County Department of Social Services (DSS) staff members will be on site one day per week to answer residents’ questions, provide information, and help people apply for DSS services including energy programs, food and nutrition assistance, and Medicaid.

DSS will also provide on-site assistance and case follow-up for Forsyth County residents with active DSS cases. 

No appointment necessary. 

DSS will also be in the following library branches. Click on a link to review a branch's full schedule.

• Paddison Memorial Branch Library: Tuesdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Rural Hall/Stanleyville Branch Library: Wednesdays 
  from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
• Forsyth County Central Library: Thursdays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. 
• Clemmons Branch Library: Thursdays from 11 a.m.-7 p.m.
• Lewisville Branch Library: Fridays from 9 a.m.-5 p.m.
