Forsyth County Behavioral Health Services' is hosting an overdose prevention and opioid awareness training for youth in grades 8-12. The following topics will be discussed:
- The impacts of opioid use on teens
- Strategies to prevent and reduce overdose
- How to use Naloxone during an overdose
- Local trends
- Substance use and mental health resources in Forsyth County
Forsyth County Behavioral Health Services Substance Use Health Educator Hannah Phillips will lead the group.
Parents are welcome to join an optional, simultaneous discussion on communicating effectively with youth about drugs and wellbeing.
