The Library's Makerspace at Forsyth County Central Library, has 3D printers, sewing machines, and other technology as well as space and worktables for large creative projects.

Embark on a creative journey with our LEGO Club, which brings children together to explore the wonderful world of LEGO building. Recommended for children ages 6-11.

The Write Stuff is a peer-to-peer writing group where writers aspiring and published authors of all types can brainstorm, provide feedback, and offer accountability to those seeking to finish their writing projects.  

Through stories and interactive play, toddlers will build language skills and discover new words while exploring letters and sounds. They'll learn with music, picture books, rhymes, and even explore other languages.

Preschool Storytime

Join us for stories, songs, and fun designed to develop school readiness skills.

Ages 3 to 5

Engage your preschoolers with stories, songs and activities that promote language and pre-reading skill development to help facilitate their growth into successful readers. 

Combine your love of reading and science by attending this quarterly library book club for nature lovers.  This month we will be discussing Twelve Trees: The Deep Roots of our Future by Daniel Lewis

Preschoolers will develop language and pre-reading skills through stories and songs to help facilitate their growth into successful readers.

Recommended for children ages 2-6.

Create a simple craft with us based on the Storytime theme of the week.  Recommended for ages 3-6 and their caregivers.

Would you like to learn how to paint flowers, birds, and other denizens of nature? Local artist Donna Calloway will be offering beginners acrylic painting classes on the 3rd Saturday and 4th Thursday of each month from 2-4:30 p.m.

Are you an Xbox expert, a Nintendo nerd, or a Playstation powerhouse? Join us in the children’s room for an hour of video games every Thursday for an hour of video games.

Children ages 3-11 are invited to design and paint their own canvas tote bags to use at the library. This fun, hands-on program encourages creativity and helps children to get excited about borrowing books.

Bring a friend, family member, or just yourself to play board games. Light snacks will be provided. Signed food waiver required. Children under 8 must be accompanied by an adult or older sibling. All ages are welcome.

A business plan is a fundamental part of starting a business.  Not only is a business plan important to starting a business for possible lending but it can serve many purposes, such as getting partners on the same page, setting up milestones

Tai Chi is a form of gentle exercise, a method of moving meditation and a means of cultivating health and well-being. Tai Chi is suitable for all ages and abilities so it's never too late to start.

Color & Coffee is a morning to relax, color, be with others and enjoy a cup of coffee on the house. Coloring sheets, colored pencils and coffee will be available for participants. 

This intergenerational program is filled with stories, songs, and movement that encourage early literacy skill development.

Recommended for children of all ages.

The Alliance Book Club is dedicated to reading and discussing diverse books by and/or about members of the LGBTQ+ community.

The Voices of Change book club is a supportive and community oriented literary space that brings together readers that want to hear stories told by individuals who have been underrepresented but still deserve the chance to be told.  

If you appreciate great beer and great books, meet us at Gypsy Road Brewing Company to enjoy a pint while discussing our book of the month.
