Program Description

Event Details

Learn about nutrition and simple, healthy recipes from community nutritionist Kerry Leonard. Each session, participants will learn about a different topic related to nutrition and food groups and eat a snack that exemplifies that month’s topic.

In December, we will discuss food nutrition labels. Kids will learn how to find the nutrition label on food and beverage packages, key messages that they can learn about what they are eating and drinking by reading the nutrition label, and how to use this tool to make informed food choices.

A program waiver is required for children to enjoy refreshments. You can pick one up at the circulation desk of any Forsyth County Public Library branch or download and print the attached file. Once signed, a program waiver is good for a year. If your participant has allergies or food restrictions, let us know, and we will do our best to accommodate them.
