Forsyth County Department of Social Services (DSS) staff members will be on site one day per week to answer residents’ questions, provide information, and help people apply for DSS services including energy programs, food and nutrition assistance,

Children will build language skills, explore letters and sounds, and discover new words through stories, music, rhymes, and interactive play.

Recommended for children ages 18 months through 3 years and their caregivers.

Read and sing with your baby while exposing them to new sights, sounds, and expressions during this fun and lively Storytime.

Join us at the Rural Hall/Stanleyville Branch for a Sensory Storytime tailored for children with autism, ADHD, or other sensory processing challenges.

Join your mind and body in this beginner-level yoga class led by Registered Yoga Teacher Jane Holtje.  All equipment is provided. All you need are comfortable clothes (that allow movement), maybe a water, and let's get started.

Children are invited to Kids’ Art Hour to create different art project each month.  

In January we’ll make winter forest art with pastels. 

Program recommended for children ages 6-12. All materials provided. 

Build a LEGO project on a given theme and meet fellow LEGO enthusiasts.

Join us at Family STEAM Time to make learning fun! From robotics and coding to arts and crafts, we have exciting hands-on activities for curious minds every week.

Join us in the Central Library Makerspace every Tuesday evening for a crafty extravaganza! Every other week will have a featured craft, with freeform crafting during the weeks between.

Learn to make healthy snacks from professional chef Floyd Davis. No experience in the kitchen is required, but program waivers are required.

Join us for a preschool Storytime that uses LEGOs and books to promote language and pre-reading skill development. Registration is required. 

Recommended for children ages 2-5.

Looking for a creative, welcoming space to connect and craft? Our inclusive fiber arts club, Hooks & Books is open to all ages and skill levels — whether you're just picking up a needle or you're a seasoned stitcher!

Join other men in supportive discussions regarding topics such as health, community, and fatherhood.  These meetings are hosted in cooperation with the Forsyth County Department of Public Health.  

AARP Foundation WS Tax-Aide is fully booked for the remaining 2025 tax season. A limited number of walk-in appointments will be available from 10 a.m.-noon.
