Tweens and teens: challenge your brain with food facts and tasty trivia while you delight your taste buds with snacks from other countries. We'll learn about a different country each month.

Kids are invited to join our monthly craft group. They'll meet other crafters, use their creativity, and learn to make all sorts of fun projects! Supplies will be provided. Recommended for children ages 6-12. 

The arts meet the sciences in hands-on fun at the Tween STEAM Lab! Join us each week for exciting experiments, technology exploration, building challenges, and beautiful art projects.

Children will enjoy stories, songs, and movement activities that promote a love for books and reading with family and friends.

Recommended for children ages 6 and under and their caregivers.

Calling all young artists! Join us one afternoon each month for Mini Masters, a fun and hands-on arts and crafts program designed especially for kids.

We're reading some amazing books in the Central Children's Library that we want to share! Join us to hear snippets of some of our favorite reads that we think you will love too and enjoy fun activities and crafts based on the books. 

Ottobots is a two hour long program where we teach kids about robotics, and then they do hands on activities to build and decorate a FIRST Tech Challenge Robot. Near the end of the session, they can drive around the bot they built!

Build a LEGO project on a given theme and meet fellow LEGO enthusiasts. 

Recommended for children ages 6-11. 

Slide Into Science This January at the Library!

Hey kids! Ready to build, test, and race your own sled? ❄️ Join us this January at the public library for an exciting STEM Sled Building Afterschool Activity designed just for kids 6-11!

Get creative and build with LEGOs, KEVA planks, Strawbees, marble runs, and more! Drop in for free play or try our fun monthly building challenge. No registration required—just bring your imagination!

Recommended for children ages 5-11.

Kids will have fun learning about healthy eating, smart food choices, and nutrition through hands-on activities, games, and delicious food demos. This program is a great way to build healthy habits.

Chess is a game that brings different generations together. Come play the age-old game of chess, take a look at the library’s collection of chess boards, and maybe check out a book to improve your skills. 

Bring your imaginations and explore the world of storytelling through micro role-playing games.

Make new friends and do fun (and messy!) experiments while learning science, technology, engineering, art, and math concepts.
