Children will build literacy skills through books and improve their fine motor skills by doing crafts that will introduce them to various art mediums and techniques.

Ideal for children ages birth to 10 years and their caregivers. 

Whether you are a seasoned crafter or just want to learn, consider joining Triad Sip & Stitch, our library’s weekly knit and crochet group.  This group meets every Monday from 9:30 a.m.

Join us on the front lawn of the Central Library every Monday for fun self-directed activities exploring arts, innovation, reading, and community. 

Discover the joy of printmaking in this engaging workshop! Relief printmaking is a fascinating artistic technique where designs are carved or pressed into a surface, creating beautiful prints through a simple but rewarding process.

Unwind with a relaxing morning of coloring, coffee, and community. Coloring sheets, colored pencils, and coffee will be provided.  

Take your crochet skills to the next level with our Advanced Crochet Class! This course is designed for experienced crocheters ready to refine their techniques, explore intricate patterns, and master complex stitches.

Preschoolers can learn new words and stimulate their brains with crafts that include different colors, shapes, and textures and relate to the weekly Storytime theme.

Join us every Monday from 1-3 PM at the Walkertown Branch Library for our weekly Crochet and Knitting Class! Whether you've always wanted to learn these timeless crafts or are looking to refresh your skills, this class is perfect for you.

This group welcomes all needlework artists at any skill level to chat and work on individual needlework projects and peruse needlework books from the library’s collection.

Would you like to learn how to paint flowers, birds, and other denizens of nature? Local artist Donna Calloway will be offering beginners acrylic painting classes on the 3rd Saturday and 4th Thursday of each month from 2-4:30 p.m.

For ages 12-18.

Join us for an artistic-filled summer this year as we Color Our World during Summer Reading Program. Each week we will tackle a different avenue of art and create a unique project. 

Children aged 4 through tweens are invited to do fun (and MESSY!) STEAM activities. We are repeating some of the most popular STEAM activities this summer. This month: Baking soda volcanoes and Elephant Toothpaste.

The Library's Makerspace at Forsyth County Central Library has 3D printers, sewing machines, and other technology as well as space and worktables for large creative projects. Access to Makerspace equipment is first come, first served. 

We love book here at the Forsyth Central Library Branch and we hope you do too. Create our own journal and learn about book binding with Art SHAC. This is an 18+ program. Spots are limited. No art experience necessary.

Children ages 3-11 are invited to design and paint their own canvas tote bags to use at the library. This fun, hands-on program encourages creativity and helps children to get excited about borrowing books.
